Has a professorship in neurology and since 2016 has been the head of department of the Department of Clinical Neurology at the Vetsuisse Faculty of Berne, Switzerland. In 2007 she became a diplomat of the European College of Veterinary Neurology (ECVN) and European Veterinary Specialist in Neurology.

Author of numerous publications in the field of veterinary neurology, lecturer for scientific lectures, as well as clinical training, workshops and seminars in the field of veterinary neurology.

Following graduation from the University of Leipzig 2008, Sabine spent 7 years in a small animal referring clinic near Berlin. In this time she wrote her doctoral thesis and earned the specialist doctor qualification in Small Animal Medicine (Fachtierärztin für Kleintiere). She then started a residency program in Neurology and Neurosurgery at the University of Gießen in June 2015.

Sabine is interested in neuroimaging, especially morphometry as well as neurosurgery.
